About Us

Alex Laks, Principal
As principal consultant at Epsilon Learning Systems, Alex draws
on his science background (B.Sc. Physics, M.Sc. Applied Mathematics) and
over thirty years' experience in education and the application of technology
to instruction. From his early work with immersive multimedia environments
in the late 1970s to today's structured metalanguages and e-learning,
he has sought to leverage the power of educational technology to personalize
learning.

Gale Parchoma, Associate
Gale holds degrees in Education and Instructional Design and has worked
as a media consultant, teacher, librarian, and instructional designer.
She tutors a course for employees of the United Nations High Commissioner
for Refugees, and to date has worked with participants from 26 countries.
In addition to her consulting work with Epsilon, she is pursuing
a Ph.D. and conducting applied research in distributed learning with the
University of Saskatchewan Extension Division.
